Kindergarten Lesson using "Hooray for Fish!" by Lucy Collins
« on: March 21, 2013, 02:09:30 pm »
This lesson includes reading the book "Hooray for Fish!" by Lucy Collins (which I found at my Korean elementary school library), singing the song "Slippery Fish" (youtube) and making a fish collage.  The lesson takes about 30 minutes.

Attachments:
Lesson Plan (word) - includes links to youtube for homemade video and song
Fish Puppet (word) - just print and glue back to back on a stick to use as a visual puppet when reading the book.
Fish Cutouts (PPT) - print outs for the kids to color and cut and glue onto the fish collage.
Teach the Song (PPT) - use the pictures on the slides when demonstrating the movements that go with the Slippery Fish song.

Search general sea animals on esl websites.  Find similar things related to the book.  Different sea creatures or find things related to shapes and sizes too.
