Native English speakers needed (Remote / Home Office)
« on: July 08, 2019, 07:30:26 am »
Compensation: 12,000 Won/hour or $10/hour
Employment Type: Part-time
Job Title: English Practice Partner
Insurance: N/A

Visa: We do not provide visa sponsorship.
F2, F4, F5, F6 are valid visas to work in Korea with us.
However, if you do not have any of these visa types but live abroad, you may can still work with us.

We would like to hire English practice partners.
You can apply for this position even if you are a native speaker with no English teaching certificate.

Our students are located in Korea (UTC 9) and most of them want to practice between 6PM - 12PM.

Our app is called DalVoca and there are workbooks available to practice with the students. Each session lasts 20, 30 or 40 minutes and for now we use Kakaoís voice-call function to practice English.

You do not have to prepare a curriculum for the study sessions. The only preparation you are required to do is to check the last topic the student studied in the last session.

Your main task is to read the provided sentences with your normal speaking pace and have the students repeating the sentences after you 3 times. You should fix their pronunciation as well as help them to improve their proficiency. We will provide you with further details later.

After the study session, you need to write down the details of the session in our schedule-sheet which takes you less than a minute (your name, studentís name, topic covered, date, duration) and record the sentences you taught from the DalVoca app.

If you possess a valid visa that makes you eligible to work in Korea, we may sign a contract with you and you will receive your remuneration on your Korean bank account on the 10th of every month.
The hourly rate for F2, F4, F5, F6 visa holders is 12,000 Won/hour and the income tax rate is 3.3%.

If you live abroad, your remuneration will be $10/hour. You will receive a payment on the 10th of every month once the total amount of your fee has reached $100. Your fee is inclusive of any and all applicable taxes for which you may be responsible.
The transfers will be executed via Paypal and only after both parties, you and DalVoca, signed the contract.

Please send us your available time (in UTC time) and a voice note where you introduce yourself briefly. Please include your place of birth, where you were born and raised, which school you went to in which area, your working experiences, what time you are available, etc.

We look forward to hearing from you.

I don't really get all the people who just go through the job offers and say how bad they are and stuff.

But...

This is laughably bad. Like, why even bother?

Is 12,000 for a class hour or an actual hour? If for just a 20 or 30 minute chat thatís not as bad.
