Isn't sahmyook related to some religion? If so why donít you inform us which religious group you are affiliated with.

And do you feel that 2.3 is a fair salary in 2019? Thats similar to minimum wage back home..... It seems awfully stingy for a private elementary....

We look forward to your open honest and speedy reply Mrs. Kong!

Heh-heh...well, it seems to be a straight offer.  Though....26 classes for an elementary school is a bit much and with the 2.3 salary....they could easily up that to 2.5/2.6.  If they really value experience and what not, then...they can raise the salary.

I also see a lot of noise being put on the teacher and what they need to do but I don't see anything about what the school can do for the teacher and how working there could better their career.   Also, 5 weeks for a private elementary school seems  a bit low...unless, that is standard.   But, still low, nonetheless.

Why do they need this? - Signed form (provided by school) declaring that:
① you have not been convicted of a sex crime
② you have not been convicted of child abuse

I already have a criminal record check. I can get  criminal record check done in Korea, as I did that already.

Do you mean that I have to produce a certificate from a previous employer in Korea saying that I am not a pedophile? I can't do that. I could get my U.K. employer to write something though.

Aside from the Church thingy, this might be a nice school to apply to, Jason seems to be on top of things,  although...well I could be wrong, too. I know nothing about elementary grades.

@allpointseast - of course not, why would you still even have a job if your previous school suspected you of being a pedophile?

I saw once a 60 minutes report on 'Lemons', which are teachers that schoolboards pass on to each other they don't want but can't fire, so they end up parking them in a container somewhere with other sex offenders where they have desk duty all day.

This is a lot of hoops to jump through for such low pay.  You better pay more money then.
