LIGHTNING GOT THIS SINCE DAY 1!!!

If not the Bruins, then the Lightning from the East. I'd like to see Vegas have another kick at it from the West.

As a Torontonian I'm pulling for the Leafs.  Winnipeg after that and I guess The Lightning as I've been down in that area a fair bit visiting retired parents.  Once the home team is out (built-in pessimism of a Torontonian) I need to find some reason to latch on to another team.  Jets deserve some good results considering what they've been through since the Hawerchuk era.  Plus, the fans have to endure a Winnipeg winter.

This is what the Wings and Detroit sports fans deserve. Too many of us care about winning meaningless games instead of proving our draft odds. Just look at Lions and Pistons fans. Utterly incapable of any long-term thinking.

What a great first round. The Bruins-Leafs series was tough as nails. Amazing the Blue Jackets swept the Lightning. No one saw that coming. Now they gotta face the Bruins.

Bruins in 6!

I was rooting for them.

Interesting playoff run for the NHL...both number 1 seeds are gone.  The Islanders made minced meat out of the Penguins (the Islanders were underrated, along with Columbus).  Nashville is gone, thanks to Dallas (who are playing good hockey at the right time).  Who knows what will happen with Carolina and Washington tomorrow and the Stars/Blues series will be one to watch (if St. Louis does its usual, of going out in the second round, it will be even more interesting)

...love the NHL playoffs.

It could be a Carolina vs. Columbus Eastern conference final!

The two smallest markets. The NHL would not be thrilled.

A Boston vs. St. Louis final would be popular.

I"d have to go with St. Louis...

..and how about San Jose pulling out a gritty G7 win against Vegas?

SJ vs CO
Big D vs STL.

The Toronto Maple Leafs: Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory since 1967.

I've seen a ton of games in the old MLG. I used to sit right under Harold Ballard and listen to him excoriate his team all game. It was hilarious.

Nice to see the Sharks win, it was a garbage call by the ref though. But still...4 goals in 4:01??? But then the tie and into OT. What a game.

Oh, I had to laugh..not at their expense but because that is funny.

I thought, or I could be mistaken, that the Leafs acquired some big shot from San Jose and he would be a big piece in the puzzle....well, either Boston is REALLY good and an actual contender, or...Toronto had bad luck. Who knows?

Toronto acquired some big shot from New York and yet didn't even go as far as last year, yet that big shot's old team the Islanders is still in the playoffs and favored to reach the conference finals.

Round 2 and Boston is up 1-0 on the Blue Jackets who looked great. Their defense is solid. The Bruins looked like they were sloppy for a lot of the game. Actually both teams looked sloppy for long stretches.

Amazing playoffs thus far and the path to the Cup looks good for Boston.

...Carolina sweeping the shite out of the Islanders.

I did not see that coming.  A seven game series possibly....but...not like that.

It is possible, in the Western Conference, to see an OLD grudge,  championship between the Stars and Ave's.  Does anyone recall those two years, in which they played each other in the WCF?  Both of those teams were STACKED (Ave's more so, I think).  BUT...the Sharks look good...this could be their year.

I cannot think of any post season that can compete with the Stanley Cup Playoffs (with exception of MLB).
