Holding out for the perfect job or being too picky?
« on: February 07, 2019, 07:39:30 pm »
My recruiter has been sending me some jobs I can interview for, my school is closing down at the end of the month so I'm looking for another Hagwon job. Problem is the ones he is sending me are all further away from Seoul than I would ideally like. I live in Guro at the moment so not even that central but it's still close enough to the major areas of Seoul but quieter so it's been nice living here. These new jobs are all more Gyeonggi Province or right on the border though.

Would it be silly of me to turn down job interviews so I can hope a job more central(ish) comes up that fits all my preferences?

You can keep going until either you find the job you want or your current recruiter thinks you are more trouble than you are worth and dumps you.
Then you can either find a new recruiter or take just a no name hogwan job

your worth is determined by
Physical appearance- should look like Brad pit or Britany Spears
Accent type- North American
age- Between 20-35
gender- female

But what if youíre an 55 year old South African obese male that identifies as a 22 year old blond and slim American woman?

I mean identity and gender are social contructs, so any employer should accept how one personally identifies as instead of how they physically appear.  You have to respect their truth.

Can you identify as good looking or attractive? If not, you'll still be SOL

Iím all seriousness, identifying as attractive is half way there.
