Is this applied to all of you or is this just me?
« on: December 01, 2018, 11:17:22 am »
Pay is pretty low at 2.1 million won per month.
I don't mind that, I take it for granted.

However, the problem is:: the owner takes a certain % off from my pay check, and he said he needs to do that, because of taxes or whatever. So essentially, I get paid around 2 million won....

Does that apply to all of you guys or is that just me?....

Wow, you actually have to pay taxes that are taken out of your paycheck each pay period? I can't even imagine.

Dude.  EVERYONE PAYS TAXES.

Question:  Is this your first job?  And I don't mean in Korea but in general?

Do you get an official form to document your pay each month? Or is it under the table or what? I get more than 100 taken off because of tax and medical and what not, but I get an official paper saying where the money went.

If you're being paid under the table it sounds shady as tax shouldn't apply, but if you are registered as a legit employee that makes sense.

;D i'm going to pretend that you are joking because you can't be that stupid.  since you are teaching, we have to assume you completed university.

on the off chance you are not joking, you pay taxes.

if you are being paid under the table, probably report that because more than likely you don't have healthcare or pension being paid.
