Reading an article on Screened.com and agreed with their list. So, wondering what other people thought. I'm interested to hear what everyone has to say.

Here is my short list:
Luke: Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Leia: Mila Kunis or Emma Stone
Han Solo: Chris Pine, Bradley Cooper, or Joel McHale
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Michael Cain or Ken Watanabe
Darth Vader's Voice: Sam Elliott, Hugo Weaving or Michael Clarke Duncan
Grand Moff Tarkin: Christian Bale or Ed Harris
Lando: Denzel Washington, Dwayne Johnson, or Terrance Howard

Honestly, I do feel a rant bubbling up, so I'll try with my might to keep it ....too...geeeettt. heerrrrrr.........

Director: Christopher Nolan, Cohen Brothers, or Quentin Tarantino

This is just for fun. I love the original Star Wars. This is just for fun. Hollywood is remake happy these days. So, this is if you had no choice it was going to happen and you can pick any one you want.

No choice scenario, eh?  I'd find some way of making the movie tank.  Definitely agreeing with don't mess with perfection.  Gotta throw this out there: although I love Tarantino and the Cohens, they'd definitely mess up the film.  They're too much of autuers, it'd be about something totally different by the end.

...I guess I don't like fun.

I stand by your C-3P0 choice, sir.

Didn't think about the droids but that is a good choice.

Yes those directors would change things but they would make a great move either way. I am not talking about a shot for shot remake. That is why I choose those directors.

Hannibal Lector for Obi-wan is an interesting choice.

I'd like get Trish Stratus (wrestler) to be Princess Leia and I'd be like gettin all Jabba on her.
Hand Solo could be like this guy I knew in high school who did strange stuff alone.
Darth Vader should be scary yet a little sensitive maybe Justin Bieber.

Assuming this ever happened they wouldn't remake just one of the first trilogy.

I don't know about cast but I always thought Joss Whedon should take over the franchise after the travesty that was the prequels.

I was tempted to report this to the admins, but there is no punishment befitting of the mentioning of Tarantino directing a Star Wars movie. I would be willing to settle for a firing squad though.

Kind of an inspired choice, I agree.  However, Simon Pegg does a pretty spot-on impersonation as well (with nick frost as R2).

I agree... I didn't even THINK of Simon Pegg, I know he is a huge fan. He could do justice! And, well, if we put Pegg we must put Nick Frost in! Rock on, Ahimsa. Good thinking!
