Note that Washington is trying to break up the party, predictably, by moving the goalposts. 'We demand total denuclearisation before any peace deal!'.

Do you really expect North Korea to give up its only weapon of self defence without assurances for its own security? Of course America would invade them instantly if they were dumb enough to actually denuclearize.

America has a lot to lose if the Koreans decide to re-unify. All this peace and reconciliation is bad for business.

It must eat them up inside to think that the two Koreas could actually make their own peace treaty without having to pay heed to what America wants.

Is this an appropriate topic for elementary school?

Thinking of letting the students watch this.

No. This is too much for them with regards to English learning and subject matter.

Too late I assigned them to write a ten page dissertation examining the economic and political ramifications of a denuclearized peninsula with special attention to the societal impact of reunification using Germany as an example. I recommended five books they should read and cite in their arguments. Should be interesting considering they are only 3rd grade elementary......

I meant have them draw a poster and write a short message to the president or dear leader.
