National Health Insurance more than doubled.
« on: April 25, 2018, 08:59:49 am »
Looking at my latest pay slip I noticed it was a little low. Does anyone know why a National Health Insurance payment would suddenly more than double? Perhaps I'm missing something obvious but nothing comes to mind. It's jumped from 90,000 to over 215,000.

The regular amount is based on an estimate.

The extra bit is based on your actual earnings last year.

There was a small inflationary increase a few months ago as well.

Yes I noticed this too.

Is this just a one time increased payment or is it the new monthly amount?

It happens every year around this time. I got a huge hit. Like 300,000 extra. I guess having a kid will do that.

This is super interesting.

I actually ended up receiving about 50,000 extra back from my health care. Unexpected but not unwelcome. How do they figure the numbers for your healthcare? They just guess and then adjust at the end of the year? Is this an every year thing?

That's so interesting because I haven't used my medical for anything. (Really hate doctors, dentists, and anything related)

This really makes me wonder how all of this really breaks down.
