Here is a PPT to practice the Role Play. I haven't used it in class yet, but I have looked over it several times and there shouldn't be mistakes on it.

Also, Story Time in the old book was the same story, so I am attaching the link to those materials.
There is a video of the story in there that some of you may want to use in your class.

**Unrelated to Story Time** This post is for Lesson 5.

The Lesson 5 on waygook isn't open yet, so posting here for now. In addition to these attachments I will also be bringing in a bag of carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, etc. Holding them up and students will have to say '5 please' '1 please' etc. etc. Attached is an intro PPT to the lesson. Also attached is a card game, called the Snatch the Fruit game. Students are put into groups of 4~5 sitting around one desk or at least make sure their is a center area. Then place down cards that have various fruits/vegetables with different amounts in the middle of the table. The students will ask 'How many?' to which I'll say '4 apples please' or '3 carrots please'. And then students have to quickly grab the card in the middle of their table. At the end of the game, student with most cards, wins.

This story was hard for my Ss because there are four mice that all look close to the same. My 3rd graders aren't used to doing roleplays yet, either. So after watching the story once and doing the book and computer work, we did "listen and repeat" a few times. Then we just listened to a scene and I would ask them what each mouse said afterward.

Thanks. I have emailed the moderator and Arsalan about opening the links, I got no reply and the links still aren't open.

Still relevant to Lesson 5 - Im bringing in a bag full of vegetables and fruits named in the chapter. I will then have students get into groups. They will as a team decide on what type of fruit is in the bag (carrot, potato, orange, or apple) and decide on how many (1-6). They will write their answer down "Six carrots please" "1 apple please". I'll then pull out a type of food, and an amount of my choice. If the team is right about the type, 1 point, if they are right about the amount, 1 point. This will be done for lesson 5, part 3, as there is a writing aspect.

Story Time script with Korean pronunciations.

There is a 4 person version and a 3 person version (because I have 11 students).
