2019 Grade 5 Daekyo 1 - 3. Please Try Some

Nunchi game where I divided my class into three teams and they decide who goes first with rock, paper scissors. For the slides each turn will have instructions on who will stand and those students will be given an 8 word sentences.
Students who stand must go one by one in order reading the words and sitting down and when it comes back to the first student who went they must stand and so on until the 8 words are finished.
I simplified the game for my students by telling them who will read each word and awarded them a point if the complete without mistakes. If you want to change around how its played be my guest. Enjoy!

Slightly modified version of the extra/optional project for section 6.

Students work in a group to make a new school lunch menu. We had groups of 4-5 and each member wrote one of the days (they discussed together, we just wanted each student to practice writing).

On the front they could write their ideas in Korean or English and then on the back they filled out the template in English. My KT and I walked around to help with any translating, spelling, etc.
Then each group presented their school lunch menu to the class.

I usually prefer to do chapter review games instead of the project but students had a lot of fun with this one!

Here's just a powerpoint explaining simon says! I played this game for a first period lesson and it was a smash! Highly suggest tricking students by doing different actions to what you're saying and also allowing students to be the teacher!

This is catch the words for the reading period (4th period/ 3.4)
If you want to change this into a writing game just remove the other sentences!
