Just post some crap about movies you've seen recently.

I saw Mommy (2014/Quebec) for the second time last night. Xavier Dolan is such a great filmmaker. 28 years old with 7 feature lengths under his belt. His movies ar4e often an exercise in style over substance, but that's nice once in a while and the acting is always on point.

This movie is about a mother taking care of her troubled son and the problems that ensue. Highly recommended.

And yes, the 1:1 aspect ratio is normal, you'll see why if you watch the movie.
The joys of fauxtherhood

Saw Raw the other night, a French film about a vegetarian vet student during her initiation, where after being made to eat meat she transforms... this isn't your Animal House. A course (I wanted to saw raw) look at desires, coming of age. A lot of unnerving energy running trough this film. Outstanding performance by the lead too.
