K-Pop or A-Pop 2017
« on: December 18, 2017, 12:18:30 pm »
For anyone who needs a fun after finals or end-of-year lesson, here is yet another K-Pop or A-Pop game with new songs. The format was modeled after other people's pop song games, like Estherjoy. So, thank you to those posters.
A couple of notes -- very few of my students have guessed "Don't Wanna Cry" by Seventeen, even though it's a very popular song. You may want to change the lyrics I chose for it. The "Pick Me" song was added as kind of a joke. In the past whenever my students don't know a song, they always just answer "Pick Me." So, I finally added it, but chose lesser known lyrics of the song. Some students get it right, but most don't. But, they all think it's hilarious when they realize I finally added the song and they didn't guess it. Since it's such an old song and the lyrics are difficult, you might want to take that one out if you don't think your kids will find it as funny.

What age or level was this for?

It seems like a fun game but I can't imagine any elementary school kid at a public school being able to answer this. Or even know a lot or any of the "A-pop." or even understand the English enough to guess...

Sorry, I forgot to mention -- I made this for middle school. My first graders have no problem at all guessing the answers. So based on that it might work for 6th grade elementary.

I played this with my (middle school) first and second graders today and they loved it. They were able to figure out most of the songs, but for the ones they didn't get I made them guess kpop or apop first then gave a hint (sing the melody, dance point). It was a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing~

Abi and I created a Winter Slam. Songs from 2017 and a few oldies.
You can edit it anyway you want.
Thank you to who-ever created the Summer Slam.

Here is an AKPOP2017 game that I found from someone. I added a couple different songs than the original poster.

Hi - thanks but the movies don't play after download - unless someone can explain to me whether I'm doing something wrong?

The videos are in Mp4 format. I guess if you have an old computer, make sure you have a video player that can support Mp4 and is up to date.  I'm not very tech savvy, so other than that, I'm not sure... Sorry...

Great game but it only plays on my lap top and not my classroom computer. The videos don't play. Maybe i need to reattach them into the PPT.

Well done, looks like you got all two birds with one stone! You made a presentation which seems to be loved among all teachers and you got my respect, for providing a free download link!

K-Pop is pretty self-explanatory but I've been trying to figure out what A-Pop means. Anyone know?
