Have you tried Airbnb?
« on: October 03, 2017, 12:10:26 pm »
What were you experiences getting accommodation or renting out a house?

I'm thinking about using it as a guest for foreign country vacations as well as for making money from an empty home in the West. Anyone try this? Any good tips / words of advice?

I've had good and great experiences with airbnb in the US, Spain and Korea. Read the reviews before making a reservation and you'll be OK.

Most of the places I've stayed, the hosts want to interact with the guests and are very helpful/interesting. It can make traveling easier and more enjoyable.

My experiences with Airbnb have only been very Korea, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, and the US, all great. Read about the hosts and accommodations carefully. Look at the reviews from other users. Choose your place wisely. The cheapest, obviously, isn't always the best situation.
