He posted a link and wrote a twenty second comment on an internet forum. That doesn't suggest his emotions were hurt. Going to the trouble of getting a stepladder to climb up a plinth, pulling down a statue then dancing around it while kicking it moronically does.

All those caught on video should be arrested and charged with vandalism, simple as that. Whether or not I, or anyone else is a straight alt-right white male, who's been triggered or 'butt hurt' is not really relevant.

"We cannot continue to glorify a war against the United States of America fought in the defense of slavery," Cooper said in a statement. "These monuments should come down."

Since the NC legislature passed a law in 2015 protecting these statues, this is probably not the first instance of folks pulling down one of these statues in the tarheel state.

*This act was done by a mob, with no regard as to how others felt.
*They did it without seeking any consensus whatsover, or engaging in any type of dialogue with others in the community.
*  The statue "outraged" them and it had to come down according to their logic..other peoples opinion be dammed
