Finding a Replacement in October
« on: July 03, 2017, 07:50:37 am »
I am planning to give my 60 day notice at the start of the next semester. This puts my exit date around the middle of October. I want there to be the least amount of drama as possible, and have my school be able to find a replacement. The EPIK intake for Fall starts Sep. 1st so they will miss that group.
My question is, does EPIK have random orientation times throughout the year for new hires when teachers like me leave at random times? I know i shouldn't give a damn, but it's just my nature.

P.S. I posted the position a couple times but not a lot of interest. Looking for females.

EPIK has late intake. I'm not too sure when it is for the fall intake but it is there. Also from my understanding they will bring in new hires if someone decides to leave before their contract is up.

I started my EPIK contract in late October about four years ago, and there was a group of us that had a regular orientation then.

If a person applies directly to a region, they can get in as the need arises.

there is late intake that starts around October.

also, if this is public school it's not your responsibility to find a replacement. you are not part of management at the school, nor are you a coordinator at EPIK or an HR person.

do your job, give your notice, and let the people who's job it is to find a replacement do theirs.
