Trump Organization planned to give a $50 million gift to Vladimir Putin. BuzzFeed has broken a story about the planned Trump Tower in Moscow that the president’s firm was pushing while he was running for president in 2016. Felix Sater, one of the leading Trump cronies spearheading the deal, devised a scheme to give the building’s penthouse, valued at $50 million, as a present to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Can't wait for Martini to explain this one away as completely normal, given his balanced posture and all.

After all he's not a cultist you know, because he didn't get on the Benghazi bandwagon!

Addressing the spelling and not the point? Nice.

Also genius, you do realize Trump deliberately nisspells tweets on big issues, right? You understand why he does that, right? You do realize deliberate misspelling as an attention getter, right?

Trump's twitter misspellings are an obvious attention getting tactic. He misspells something. Liberals lose their shit over it. Millions of Ameeicans hear about his main issue- Clinton and Russia. Caravans. Crime. Terrorism. The media.

If misspelling stuff is dumb, why do you see it on brands and signs? Because it stands out. Duh.

FFS, for a bunch of people who laugh at how dumb Trump is, you all sure fall for some pretty easy tricks from con man Trump. At the poker table, Trump's supporters are the marks just happy to be at the table. They know theyre going to get hosed a little but theyre along for the ride. Trump haters are the college kids with a scientific strategy who get fleeced by H.S. drop out Trump because they have no street smarts.

I asked a simple question: Did he intentionally sign the trade deal incorrectly?

Also, they made a movie about "college kids with a scientific strategy" playing poker. Turns out they made a shit load of money. Google "MIT Blackjack Team" for more. Shitty example on your part.

What are you referring to in the trade deal? I'm talking sbout tweets.

At least Trump knows the difference between poker and blackjack.

Riiiiiight.  Because basically everyone ignores tweets from "the most powerful person on the planet" so he has to somehow get people's attention with common misspellings.

Fortunately, people totally don't lose focus on the substance of his message because they're laughing at him. Totally don't.

"Genius".

You: Trump misspells words and plays the idiot on purpose (i.e. there's some kind of strategy).

Me: Did he mis-sign the deal on purpose?

Is this really that hard to understand? I just want to know if you think he's ALWAYS being a master deceiver or if it's only sometimes (and other times he's really just being an idiot like when he mis-signed the trade deal).

In other words, is he sometimes genuinely an idiot or is he always just playing the game?

Also, sorry I didn't know your analogy was poker specific. I thought it was about card games in general. I guess scientific strategies only work in blackjack.

Riiiiiight.  Because basically everyone ignores tweets from "the most powerful person on the planet" so he has to somehow get people's attention with common misspellings.
Yes, he has to get people's attention. One way is with misspellings. The media pick up on it, yak about it all the time, and help spread his message and emphasize the issue the tweet is talking about. That way, they are talking about the issue rather than something a Kardashian did.

How many Obama or Hillary tweets do you remember? How many were a big deal? Obama was tweeting about plenty of issues. No one cared.

You: Trump misspells words and plays the idiot on purpose (i.e. there's some kind of strategy).

Me: Did he mis-sign the deal on purpose?

I don't know if he missigned it on purpose or not, but it wouldn't surprise me if he did. Re-negotiating NAFTA was one of his big campaign issues and he would certainly be well-served to get the signing as much hoopla and hype as possible. Not every voter is a hardcore follower of politics. Plenty only bob their head up occasionally. Maybe they hear Kimmel or Fallon talking about it and rather than caring about misspelling something, they focus on the important part- renegotiating NAFTA.

Also, speaking of which, who cares if he misspelled something? Isn't the bigger story that he re-negotiated NAFTA? Isn't that the real story? Isn't the misspelling irrelevant to the issue? Liberals: "OMG OMG OMG He misspelled something!!!!!!!! AHHH!!!!!" Trump: "I renegotiated NAFTA." Who do you think wins?

And yes, Trump could have made a mistake. Obama never made a dumb mistake? I'm sure he did through simple law of averages and being a human being. Big deal. I don't care if Obama misspelled a tweet or accidentally signed on the wrong part of the page of yet another piece of paper that gets shoved in front of his face.

Also, sorry I didn't know your analogy was poker specific. I thought it was about card games in general. I guess scientific strategies only work in blackjack.
Uhm, maybe you should learn the difference between poker and blackjack first.

Blackjack at the casino is played against the dealer (the house). In fact the players essentially cooperate against the house to win. There's no bluffing. The dealer is forced to hit or stand based on the cards they have. There's zero decision making by the dealer. They could be replaced by a robot or a screen in theory.

Poker is played against other players, with the house taking a cut of the pot. No player represents the house. Poker can and does involve deception, bluffing, reading people, etc. All the scientific strategies in the world wouldn't mean squat if you have a tell that a seasoned pro can pick up on. Heck, when you get down to 1 on 1, you can essentially win by no looking at your cards and reading the other person if they have tells. I've actually done this a few times (it doesn't happen often, but when you realize you KNOW the player, it's game over for them barring a miracle). I'm not good at it and there are tons of people who could pick me apart easily. If low-level me can do it, imagine what a pro can do?

Trump is an experienced con man, media figure, and entertainer. You can underestimate him and believe he is an idiot/demented/a Putin troll/slick conman/Nazi/whatever else the media has told you to believe this week (notice how not all of them can be true? Yet Trump haters believe all of them, a sure sign of irrationality). I am not going to underestimate him. I think he is very crafty and very slick. He makes mistakes sure, but no one bats 1.000. If you actually truly pay attention and look at the specific techniques he uses, it's obvious much of this is deliberate.

This is why I talk about the "college kids with the scientific method" vs. the illiterate card sharpe. Anyone with an ounce of street sense and who knows how the game works, can tell what Trump is doing and the techniques he is using. It's only the dumb college kids and his rube supporters (rather than his in on the joke supporters) who think it's something else. There are some Trump critics out there who understand the Trump con game and are exasperated with the media types who keep falling for his tricks. Up your game and become one of them.

The Trump meeting with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer was delightful. Trump got owned badly by the 2 Dems.

Trump is "proud" to shut down the government haha.
