Title: Do I need a new crim check?
Post by: weso1 on May 03, 2012, 06:09:56 pm
My contract's ending next month. I want to travel a bit before starting a new one. A recruiter told me I don't need a new crim check to get a new visa, since I'll be coming back within 3 months. But I will need a new crim check to re-register with the education board.

Anybody heard of this?

Have you checked into D10 visas for that interim period?  I've heard of people in the same situation as you getting a D10.  As far as I understand, you can get one easily if you are completing a E2 and it gives you 6 months to find a new position.  This way, you shouldn't have to redo your paperwork.  It might be worth looking into.
