A listening decoding game and a simple vocab plus practicing number ppt. (Doesn't include all new vocabulary)
Decoding game rules: You say, "How can I get to blah blah" Students find blah blah.  You or your ct say 'Take bus number blah blah" They find the Korean character and write it down. The student or group that is able to guess the word is the winner. Groups could get points. Individual winners could get candy or something related to your award system.
Anyways enjoy.

Can someone please explain to me why the makers of this book chose to capitalize  'Bus Number #" and "Subway Line #"?

I'm also wondering this!! I'm guessing they are using it as a proper noun like an actual name? When I feel it shouldn't be capitalized at all. Unless it was an actual line name like "Take the Bundang line to XX station."

...my co teachers have already taught 2 sections and I'm sad I didn't look ahead in the book and catch this sooner ㅠㅠㅠㅠ It might be a lost cause.

Do other people's 6th grade kids still like playing "Pass the Ball" and bomb games? My kids abhor them.

Do other people's 6th grade kids still like playing "Pass the Ball" and bomb games? My kids abhor them.
My 5th graders didn't like "Pass the Ball", but they enjoyed this "Pass the Bomb" game. Probably would work okay with 6th graders although I don't recall using it with mine yet.

The difference is that they say the dialogue then pass the ball before the beeping timer "explodes". I like it more than pass the ball since it makes everyone speak more often.

So, here's one with examples from the chapter plus a couple extras.

I'd like to know why they thought it was a good idea to not teach bus numbers with 3 digits. Every city in Korea has them...

Here is my lesson for unit 5

My PPT includes vocabulary, Find the missing vocabulary word and an unscramble the key expression section.
There is also an example for the written component of the textbook where students describe a good touristic destination.

Games- Depending on the remaining time you can elect to play:
-Missing Impossible Game- 20 mins
-Knockout Game- 10 mins
-Matching Game- 5 mins

If your students don't hate bomb games, then here is one that I made by using clips of the song bad guy.

Put the key sentence on the board and have them pick a card to complete the sentence.
