We are seeking an innovative and qualified educator to join the faculty at our leading co-educational international school. You will be a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge and a sound understanding of the Common Core State Standards and American school curriculum.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT education from an accredited college or university (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in the US or in an international school setting (years count only after being certified)
Valid teaching certificate, specifically computer science education
Knowledge of: subject areas appropriate to assignment (e.g., assessment for learning, UbD, lesson planning, curriculum development, professional learning communities, project-based learning, differentiated instruction, and standards-based grading); effective instructional techniques; effective classroom management skills
Highly proficient in reading, writing, and oral communication skills
Good interpersonal skills, ability to adapt and remain flexible, good organizational skills, promote and maintain positive attitude and working relationships with students, parents/guardians, staff and administrators, positive contributor to the school community

POSITION DETAILS

- Start date: August 7, 2017
- Course load: 3 courses (Grades 4-12; must be able to teach computer literacy, basic programming, as well as an AP course)
- Work hours: Depends on the course schedule, but within the hours of 8A.M. to 4:30P.M.; approximately 18-20 hours per week
