Totoro Bomb Game
« on: February 25, 2014, 12:42:56 pm »
I decided to use my deskwarming time (semi) productively and make a bomb game. There are two slides with embedded youtube videos, so you'll need an internet connection for them to work. However, the game is just as fun without them. Keep the music files in the same folder as the PPT or else they won't work.

If there are any problems with the PPT, let me know and I will fix them. Feel free to edit any of the language to fit the age level and English ability of your students.

Looks like great fun but I think there is a problem with the change points page. It sticks for a very long time.

Hmm, it's working fine on my end. When you say it sticks, do you mean the gif doesn't move or the music doesn't start? It might be due to the fact that there are four large gifs on one slide. The only solution I can give you are some alternate slides. Just choose one and replace the entire slide. (Just make sure it stays in the same order.)

I love this!!! Anything Ghibli related is amazing in my book. The only thing I wish I could do is make it so music plays continuously through all the pictures in the beginning (before the how to play slide). I am using PPT 97 so I don't think it's possible to do that. I can add the sound clip but it would just stop with every picture change. TT_____TT

Which song do you want to play throughout? The title song? I'll make another version for you. I've got nothing better to do right now lol

EDIT: I now realize you wanted it to play through the intro slides, not the whole game....which it already does. But maybe it doesn't work like that with PPT 97...which you have already said. My bad.

You could put the song(s) in a playlist in a media player and set it on repeat in the background.

I'll try opening it at home with the newest powerpoint, but by default at school every time I try to start the slideshow, as soon as I advance to the second slide, powerpoint 2010 crashes and windows brings up a menu that it's not working.
