I don't remember, I'll have to look when I get back home, but I purchased a cheap one available in Emart -- they have two available in the Emarts in my area right now, and I got the one with the beads visible in its shaft.

I plan to order a nicer one from gmarket at some point, but the cheap one has already done wonders for me.

Even "I'm a little teapot" can sound dirty when it's out of context. xD

The brand of the shower head I purchased from Emart is Sokari.

Just enjoying the cool weather :) At least until it warms up again in the next couple of days but at least fall (or is it winter lol) isn't far off now.

Was in the hallway with my elem. coT when one of our students runs up to me to say hello and sneakily puts a piece of candy in my hand.

And on the bright side, since there are a lot less classes this semester due to tests and field trips, my main coT decided I don't have to make speaking tests anymore! One less thing to worry about!

One of my 6th grade students from my (semi-disastrous) first year came to school and gave me a coffee and talked about middle-school. I wrote off the first year due to troublesome colleagues and various culture-clashes so it was nice to have a student from that time seek me out. Sidenote: he starts HS next year... How long have I been here?! Am I going to see my elementary school graduates out drinking?

I'm happy that after several pages of it, the whinge thread has finally moved away from people's anal probing experiences!  :lipsrsealed:

Grade 3.  They may just give me hope that this teaching gig is not as horrible and hopeless and it's begun to feel.  I like grade 3. Why can't kids just stay like that? They made me happy today just by being themselves.

Found out that I don't have to teach Korean teachers English after school. One less thing to stress about.

We were deciding which 5th grade class to use for our open class, and I wanted a certain class that can be a little rambunctious, but they're very enthusiastic and volunteer to answer questions. My coteacher wanted a class that is well-behaved, and while they're "good" they're too quiet and never volunteer. I pushed for the class I wanted but she ignored me and chose the class she wanted. Over the last week she's been stressing out a lot over the open class because this class just doesnít like to talk at all. She finally realized she chose poorly and she switched to the class Iíve been wanting for the last month. Hooray!

TLDR: My co realized the error of her ways and I got what I wanted.

My 3rd graders are easily becoming my favorites.

At first I used to hate teaching them due to a combination of there being so many, them barely knowing any English and my coteacher being on her phone 24/7 (or not coming to class at all)   while I struggled with them.

But I've cracked the code  :P

Teaching them is so fun now and they get me so pumped up. They're so excited to come to my class that the homeroom teacher even told my coteacher how much they love English  8) 8) 8)

I do occasionally have to yell at someone but they're so energetic and eager to learn and have fun that I can't stay annoyed for long.

It's nice  :cheesy:

Today, my co brought me a coffee and a McDick's breakfast. I haven't had a McDick's breakfast in effing ages. Nice start to the day.

Yeah, McDick's is great for breakfasts. Conveniently located too: just a hop, skip, and a jump away from McClutchie's.

a tiny bit of goodness in this terrible stressful thing that is midterms coming way too early and doing a stupid complicated schedule with the 2nd graders: the 2nd grade teacher who insisted on this horrible schedule is making all the handouts required for both her classes and my classes.

My new colleague seems nice and unremarkable and my Teachers' English class went really well.

Now I'm going to go to an absolutely killer Mexican place in Seoul and drink margaritas (emphasis on the plural).

TGIF!

I had a really awesome date on Saturday <3  We went to Wolmido and did a bunch of fun stuff. Best trip up to Seoul ever...too bad I live so far from it. Hopefully if we continue seeing each other it will work from across the country.

What books are they and are they good for MS/HS? I'm starting to also fall short on lesson ideas.
