Cheonjae is finally referring to the UK as the UK, and the US and the US. Much better than 'England' and 'America'.

Now that I've finally gotten the schedule for my new middle school, I'm dreading it.

Classes are divided by grade and skill level, like my previous school, but since there's not enough time in the week to teach every class once, the classes will rotate each week, meaning that some of my lessons will be taught over more than one week. I could barely understand the schedule just looking at it, and even my CT who made the darn thing was confused as hell.

This is gonna be fun.

I take it back. Because as I sit here trying to lesson plan, I realize that I'm ahead in preparations thanks to this system. Fantastic!  8)

They apparently opened a new Cinnabon in the Shinsegae Department Store. There's one in the Hyundai Department Store, too, but if you're coming into Dongdaegu, it's a convenient hop.

Sorry, not really a neat tip, but I was excited about it when I heard about it.

Now that you're probably on the way home again:

Apsan is cool if you like gondola rides.
Herb Hillz is nifty if you like high altitude rope courses and ziplines.
There's the "largest firing range in East Asia" is north Daegu that does skeet shooting, firing gallery, and has something called "laser archery" which I'm hoping is some kinda futuristic bow that shoots lasers that explode distant targets, but which is probably something lame-o like laser tag.
Palgongsan is a nice climb that features a big stone Buddha balancing a giant rock on his head. The Shinsegae has an aquarium on the top floor, as well as a virtual reality roller coaster that I've probably done too many times.
Also, ETOHs has some of the best pizza I've had in Korea (I'd recommend the messerroni). They have a fair menu of craft beers too.
Stay away from Thursday Party. Total meat-market. Not at all your style.

After lunch, the Kor teachers had to go do some training, while the students done something similar, but away from the teachers.
The office guy comes into the office, and I can't remember how, but the topic of music came up. Turns out, he used to listen to old school English rock / metal music in his 20s (things like Metallica, Bon Jovi, G'N'R, etc.) And I introduced him to Iron Maiden, my all time favourite band. He just came back, and said he really likes them, and went back to the office, playing their music from his phone! :D
