When foreign acquaintances in Korea go back to their countries I am so tempted to unfriend them on facebook, because we didn't hang out/talk while you lived here, so what chances are there of it when you don't live here.

Just do it lol I do it all the time, even if they are still in Korea.

Interesting take on peanut butter and jelly today at lunch: there was no peanut butter.  And the bread was toasted.  So basically a toasted grape jelly sandwich.

That sounds pretty good, minus the jelly. Jelly is basically just sugar.

Sugar is basically a toxin. A kind of toxin is venom. Venom is a popular villain in Marvel's, the 'Spiderman.' Spiderman votes Republican. If you eat jelly you support Donald Trump, who eats pizza with a fork.

Whether or not you like jelly is one thing (@#basedcowboyshirt lol) but I don't really understand why this is strange? Unless they labelled it as pb&j, I thought toast and jam/jelly was pretty normal.

I agree that that's pretty normal, but not in sandwich form.

Saw a Korean movie over the weekend. 밀정 (English name: Age of Shadows)

It was a good time. Probably would have been even better if there had been English subtitles (alas). I still got the gist of things though. Apparently it's even been released in the US already (produced by Warner Brothers, interestingly enough).

I enjoyed it enough that I want to watch it again with subtitles. One of the main actors was also in Snowpiercer. Gonna keep my eye on this dude, I like his performances. ^^

There are so many good looking movies in the cinema at the moment   I don't want to have to wait months to see them with English subs.

I wish there was somewhere I could go online to watch new movies with subs...even pay to rent them.... I feel like they are missing a business opportunity.

Toasted peanut butter and jelly is pretty great, though. Also, cheesecake sandwiches - jam + cream cheese.

I...no longer keep bread in the house.

I need to buy some cream cheese. A worthy investment it'd be.

On a side note, prepping some Jenga blocks for a class activity and realized I can use the same phrases for two different grades. As long as I change a few... such as "sleep."

Example:

Grade 1s: I'm going to sleep.
Grade 2s: Why don't we sleep together?

Lol

In Grade 5, we're doing permission grammar and one of the examples is "Can I touch it?"

I cringe every time I say it.  :lipsrsealed:

"it's long"
"that's what she said"

I've seen those in my elementary books too...

I took a gander at one of the CDs once. In one of the animated videos, Uju or whomever accidentally squirts paint onto the [male] teacher's leg. The kid proceeds to try and wipe it up but just makes it worse. The teacher blushes.

One middle school book I stole a glance at had the phrase "It makes feel high" included as a response to how full of joy the character was over some school trip or something.

I'm going to make myself a real cake today. No more of this sweetened bread BS for me.

But first, I need to finally tackle the minefield that is my kitchen -- I've been avoiding it all week, it's time to get back to adulting.

Stayed up all night Facetiming with a long distance man-friend (sigh) and I am so stupid tired. The kiddos have exams so luckily I don't have class but I just want to eat something bad for me and go home and sleep forever.

I've literally just fallen asleep at my desk and been woken by the end/start of lesson school bells for the past 2 hours. Feels like it should be about 4pm and it's just turned 11.

Glad to know I'm not the only one feeling so sleepy haha I have no classes today, as well, and it's making the day go by sooo slowly. This site isn't really that active right now, either, so I'm quite bored with no lessons to plan and nothing to do.

When I have classes and stuff to do, I do loads and chat to students in the corridors, and generally be on the ball.  I have no classes this week as it is self study time and then next week is test time.  I have planned everything up until October 28th.  Maybe I see if I can get some part time mafia racket going.

Yeah, I have lessons planned through next week, but I don't like to plan too ahead of time because it leaves me with absolutely nothing to do later on. I already massively cleaned my classroom on Tuesday and had no classes yesterday so it's still clean; I've already taken all of my exams and submitted my grad school application; I've read all of my books that I have at home; sigh. I have no classes tomorrow, either. I guess I'll head over to the bookstore today after work. Any recommendations anyone?
