check out postings about iherb delivery issues with customs. That's where the main dicussion is.
Generally it seems that not many people have managed to do it. but their ARC or Passport is normally sufficient

It wasn't sufficient for me. I've ordered from Amazon, and tried my ARC as well as my passport number. I've read the threads about iherb and amazon. I have a feeling that when my order arrives in Korea I'll be contacted by email from Customs asking for a PIN. The amazon website wanted a 13 character PIN with one letter and 12 numbers. Believe me, I read those threads and tried every combo I could think of. None were accepted. I may just ask one of my co-T's, but I was hoping someone here had set a PIN.

The saga continues.......
I'm getting email from I-parcel saying I must have a PIN number from customs. I even asked my co-T (because customs website is in Korean). Her response was it's too complicated and I'd be better off asking other foreigners if they've ever done this. I'm not optimistic, but I'll try again.

I would also like to know if anyone has done this! I have a package from Amazon I'd like ASAP but this i-parcel site is not giving me any straight answers. Reading threads I tried "FCA*******" the stars being my passport number, but the delivery status of the package hasn't changed (it's been 2 days). My coteachers have no idea what to do since it's a brand new thing as well.

I'm U.S. citizen with an ARC that just received a package from i-parcel when I made a purchase from Amazon.
When you go into the first link provided by I-parcel (in the email), you type in your ARC number.
This blog really helped me figure it out:
https://ruralkorealiving.wordpress.com/2014/10/02/the-new-korean-import-laws-i-parcel-portal-customs-go-kr-and-what-to-do/
You don't have to register for a customs pin if you have an ARC number.

I created a pin back in August after 3 days of difficulty it FINALLY for some unknown reason, worked. I used the link that was provided by iherb which also have me step my step directions in English. One thing I realized was that the customs code is created through one of those stupid security programs like you have to download for internet banking...well if you already have it downloaded for internet banking then the program uses your existing certificate and password. TL:DR try to sign up on whichever computer you use for internet banking and when you get asked for a password your your banking certificate one.

Just got this email from i-parcel in response to my query about why my registration number wasn't enough.
Please be informed that Korean customs had advised that we are no
longer collecting RRN numbers from consignees. Korea customs required
the "Personal Identification number for clearance" instead of RRN.
Personal identification number consist of 13 digits. Consignee can
generate the number by using the URL below.
This information needs to be submitted prior to your parcel shipping.
I"ll get it taken care of when I go to the bank. Thanks to everyone who tried to help.

I just registered for the PCCC online. You get the number right away. Attached is a pdf I got from Iherb's customs rep. You need to have an electronic bank certificate already (computer or usb). Where they show putting in your SSN they actually mean your ARC number.
If you don't have an electronic certificate you can go into any customs office and fill out a short form. Tell them you need a 개인통관 고유부호. If they don't process it there, they'll fax it to the closest main office. You get the number by text message within 10 minutes.

I just did the registration thing. It's the usual bit of IE plugin, ActiveX security crap but fairly simple to do.

Anyone done this recently or have a link to English instructions? The website looks different than the one that was linked to way back in this thread.

If you have a Korean phone number and ARC and can navigate a Korean website
https://unipass.customs.go.kr/csp/persIndex.do
This one lasts until you surrender your ARC at the airport.
