Thank you so much for creating such entertaining, amazing, outrageously awesome games!!
My grade 4 students in all my classes had absolute fun they didn't want to stop playing
even after the bell had gone.

I loved everything! You are a genius! This has just upped the games, a new level!

Can't wait for the next games.

Thanks for giving us the directions of how to install the fonts.  I was a bit clueless at the start.

You are very welcome!  I'm glad that your students enjoyed the game  ;D

I've just started working on the Yu-Gi-Oh game.  I've been kinda burned out from open classes and English festivals in the past month.  I'll try to finish it in the next couple weeks or so.

The bomb game is a major hit with my student.  Thanks so much for making it!

Awesome!  You're welcome!

My students' "oooooooohs" and "awwwwwwws" would have warmed your heart. Thank you from the bottom of mine

Wonderful!  Thank you!

Hahaha. I can already picture how rad your Yu-Gi-Oh game will be.

Thanks again glorious based Sprite06. You make teaching fun.

Hahah thanks, I appreciate it.  I'm hoping the Yu-Gi-Oh game will be the most #based game so far.
It's coming along, slowly but surely.  I'm a turtle.

This game is amazing. Thanks for all the hard work!

I do have a question / problem, however.  The instructions say "Team Rocket slide click R.  Trainer Battle slide click trainer. Haunter slide click Haunter.  Mewtwo slide click Mewtwo" what does this mean? I can't get the 'trainer fight slide' to come up when needed. There is no "R" to 'click', no Mewtwo to 'click'. Just a little confusing?

I have the new version of the game, otherwise everything works great.

I know all those slides are hyperlinked to different pokeballs in the game, but is there a way to bring them up independently, when we are playing? From reading all the other posts that's what is seems like, but am I just missing something glaringly obvious?

Thanks again!

Some of the question slides lead to a point slide where students have the chance to select a mystery ball.  Some of those mystery balls lead to those instances that you are talking about (Mewtwo, Rocket, Trainer Battle, etc.)   After those instances/events have taken place, you click the listed item ("R", "Mewtwo") in order to return to the original question selection slide.  There is no way to force a mystery event into the game play without selecting a mystery ball.  But why would you want to?

Those events are supposed to be a surprise for the students.  The clicking directions are simply to guide you back to the question selection screen after that specific slide has occurred.

Let me know if that doesn't make sense

That's what I was thinking. Thanks for the clarification. Also, the only reason for it to happen would be to liven up the game. I just played it w/ my 2nd graders and none of the extra slides came up, surprisingly enough. The kids tend to get bored if they just score points after points. It wakes them up if they start stealing from others...

Haha I understand.

In that case, find out which of the letters are mystery ball slides.  (They don't change)  I think they are H, T, L, P, and 2 others.
Let your students say what letter they want and "accidentally" click a mystery ball slide.
Or just pick one for them  ;)

I played the Spongebob game with a group of 33 3rd and 4th graders today; they absolutely loved it! They're stuck in a classroom learning English for 3 hours while their friends finished school yesterday, so I really needed something to get them excited again, and this was just the ticket! I'll be trying out Pokemon tomorrow; thank you so much!

Sprite06: Thanks for the Pokemon game. It's fantastic and went down a treat in my class. I used it for my last classes with Grade 6. At first they seemed to be thinking "Ugh pokemon, too old for that..", but that soon changed when playing this!

Uploading the version of the game I used here, with questions I made that cover multiple chapters of G6.

Sprite06,

I really admire you and Daegeon hard work into all these BOMB games :). My students love it and I enjoy it myself ^_^. How long does it take to make a bomb game and what is involve in making one. Yours have so much graphics it's like Oooooohhhhh and ahhhhhhhh ^_^. I have a Mac so it doesn't really play on my computer :(, not Mac friendly. The Yugio one looks vicious as well though.

You think you can make a Dragon Ball Z or Sailor Moon bomb game.

DUDE. That YuGiOh game is ridiculous! I'm gonna use this for my middle schoolers. They'll probably think they're too old for this when I tell them that it's YuGiOh but I know they're gonna go nuts over this game.

You should seriously think about selling these powerpoint game templates to an education company. Of course while keeping them free for all your loving friends in the waygook community   ;D

Thank you so much for these games! The spongebob one was a HIT with my 5th graders. I was wondering, though, from the first Pokemon game, I wanted to change slide 31 to the name of our school but was unable to. How may I go about doing that?

Thank you again for your hard work!

You're welcome!  If you are unable to change the name of the school, you probably need to install the fonts.  You can find them on the first page of this thread along with instructions for installing them.  Let me know if that doesn't work.  For some reason that font is pretty picky.

Daejeon can crank out a bomb game in a couple hours or less.  I'm much slower.

I'd say the 4 important parts of a bomb game are
1.  Graphics  (Finding high quality images and using photoshop to clean them up, make transparent backgrounds, etc.)
2.  Audio (Sounds effects and music usually take me longer than any other part of a game, but without them, the game is dull at best)
3.  Gameplay (What will represent points, how will points be distributed, what surprises are thrown in, how can you keep the scores competitive, etc.)
4.  PowerPoint (Putting it all together.  Animations, triggers, hyperlinks.  Probably the easiest part)

Someone else made a Sailor Moon game last year - http://waygook.org/index.php?topic=23402.0

A Dragonball game would be fun, assuming the students are into Dragonball.  I kinda drift towards whatever my students are interested in.

Aha thanks.  Let me know if your middle school students get into it.  The 6th graders at my school last year just started middle school and they're all Yugi freaks.   ;D

You are the best! These games are ridiculously effective and simply amazing... Gotta love the sound and the visuals!! :D Students at my school love it. Especially the points swapping thing and score reset... The faces of these students when their team's points get swapped is FUNNY!! hahaha
Your helpful guides are very much appreciated too!

Thank you!! ;D

Really well designed games that kids loved to play. I have only had the chance to show my grade 5's the Pokemon game but they went nuts over it. I like almost everything about these PPT's, especially the fact you use quality pictures and sounds.

Have you thought about including the scoreboard system for every game? The students reacted really well to the sounds from the Pokemon one.

In the YuGiOh one, it would be great if there was a logo for adding / subtracting points (I see it's explained in the first slide though)

WOW, JUST AMAZING!!!

I wish I had the skills as you did to make these games. I'm pretty much
a computer dummy so I'm just so grateful.

I think there needs to be some kind of seminar on how to make these games.
I think you and Daejeon could be the lead speaker.

Thanks a million!!!
