Dude. You and Daejeon. No words can do it justice....

Respect.

Thanks man I appreciate it!  The replies are what makes the games worth creating!

This is beautiful, it brings back memories.

Does this only work for Windows, or am I missing something?
Mac user here...the Pokeball seems to shake forever and that's all it seems to do?

You have to click the Pokeball for it to open ;)

The cursor turns into a hand but clicking doesn't do anything =(

I'll be honest and say I'm not really sure.  It sounds like it must be a Mac conflict, but being a lifelong PC user, I'm not sure.  Daejeon may be able to shed some light on that.
Are your school computers Mac as well?

I'm using Lion on Mac with Office 2010. I just used the PP in class today. No problems. PPTX version without the counter.

My 1st and 2nd graders absolutely love the pokemon game!  I've been using it to teach the months, days of the week, and basic feelings/emotions.  I have them twice a week and they all start chanting for the pokemon game!  I was thinking about making a spongebob game for them but you beat me to it!  Thanks for the games!

Just used the pokemon template in an after school English club. The students and co teacher loved it. Thank you so much. I had no idea powerpoint could be used to this level!

Scratch my last post, 5 posts for each time on waygook it would seem. Thank you so much for sharing this game! I've no idea how to make a PPT game, so this is extremely helpful. You're a talented man!

These games are awesome! If I may make one suggestion, it is to add some sort of final match animation to both of these. I don't share the same powerpoint skills as you so there is no way I could try to do that myself. However, I like how on some of the typical bomb games like Robots vs. Aliens or Pirates of the East Sea they have a tiebreaker and a final round button. Since both of these games start on such an epic note, why not end them on a similarly epic one?

Just a suggestion because again, there is no way I could make these myself. Cheers.

A final slide would be cool.  Something I've been trying to monitor is the file size.  I don't want to make people download a 50MB template.  It's important to me to use high quality images and sound for an intro slide (and potentially a final slide) which ends up eating a lot of data.  A final slide may bump the file size another 2-5 MB.  Although the intro slide doesn't really affect the game play, I think it really sets the mood and gets every kid in the classroom glued to the screen.

I appreciate the suggestion.  I'll keep it in consideration and if I find a meaningful opportunity to make one, I'll go for it  ;D

I have to say this is one of the best ideas for games!  The game sounds exciting! Does anyone have any suggestions how to control the noise level? I am really excited to try this in my classroom! Thanks so much! :)

I just realized there is a problem editing the text on the question slides in the 97 - 2003 version of Spongebob.  I don't use 97 - 2003 so I didn't initially see it.  When 2007 saved the file as a .ppt, it turned the question boxes into images, making the text un-ediatble.  I fixed it and re-uploaded it.  Let me know if you have any problems.

Potential future project :

My students have been going crazy for this card game lately

Hi Sprite,

Quick one for you: I'm using the Pokemon game as posted by Flukerific on this link http://waygook.org/index.php/topic,934.0.html (16 posts down)

The Team Rocket link seems to be missing, or I am doing something wrong! Can you let me know how to repair, or let me know what I should be doing to leave that screen?

Many thanks for all your hard work - my kids absolutely LOVE this game!

Ah, he uploaded one of the early versions of the game which had a hyperlink missing.  The template has been fixed and re-uploaded in this thread.  I recommend downloading the newest version of the template at the beginning of this thread.  The newest version has a built in scoreboard created by Daejeon as well.

If you really like the content of his upload, there are two ways to fix it.

1.  Easy way - After the Team Rocket slide comes up during gameplay, tap the left arrow key.  It will move you to the Trainer Battle slide, where you can click the trainer to return to the question selection slide.  (Without disturbing the pokeballs already clicked)

2.  Permanent fix - Insert a transparent shape and hyperlink it.  Click Insert -> Picture -> Autoshapes.  Insert any shape you want (square is easiest).  Make it large enough to fill the Team Rocket "R".  Right click the shape and click "format autoshape".  Under the color selection there will be a Transparency selection.  Move it to 100%.  Under that is "Line".  Select "No line".  Now right click that invisible box and click "Hyperlink".  On the far left, click "Place in this document."  Select the question selection slide.  You're good to go!

Of course, downloading the newest version and copy pasting from Flukerific's upload is the easiest :)  And you can use Daejeon's cool scoreboard.

Ahaha thank you!  I appreciate it.  Let me know how it goes!

I definitely want to make the Yu-Gi-Oh template.  I'm busy with a couple open classes in the next few weeks but I'll try to get started on it.  I need to learn more about the game first though, ahah.  Thanks  ;D

Thank you so much for creating such entertaining, amazing, outrageously awesome games!!
My grade 4 students in all my classes had absolute fun they didn't want to stop playing
even after the bell had gone.

I loved everything! You are a genius! This has just upped the games, a new level!

Can't wait for the next games.

Thanks for giving us the directions of how to install the fonts.  I was a bit clueless at the start.
