Getting Unemployment Insurance in Korea

 Has anyone here claimed pogy in Korea? How hard is it to get on? How long does it last? What could possibly disqualify you?

The only foreigners I know that can get it are F-4 holders. On average people get it for 3 months.

Last I checked F-2 holders aren’t entitled to receiving it (rules may have changed but I doubt it), not are any other work or residency visa holders...even though everyone pays into the system.

F-5 holders might be eligible though, but I’ve not heard any cases of such.

F-5’s can receive unemployment

For myself, I am entitled to 55% of my salary for 11 months after my contract expires.
