I would agree that this is a slightly odd thing to get offended over. Many folks who go on vacation take along heavy rolling cases that contain much more "ish." Just look at pretty much most North Asians at airports. Why do they get a pass over folks with big backpacks?

If it's a style thing, cool. Be offended. But don't assume that just because they pack differently that they're poor, homeless penny-pinching "begpackers". And if they stay in hostels in Dublin because hotels cost an arm and a leg? That's called being sensible with cash. Weird to see DeMartino having a problem with that when he's always decrying young folks for not saving enpugh money.

What a ridiculous thread.

Saving money means saving it period, not going 3rd rate.

Now if you want to do that, fine. But dont whine about being denied entry, and dont blame the rich for why you're broke.

And yeah, try traveling light for a change. Once you do, you'll never go back and you'll be like "WTH was I thinking?"

Giant backpacks are from the same impulse as hoarding and people who have to eat every last bit of food at a restaurant. No, leave that last piece of pizza or half bottle of soju and walk away. Learn how to let go of things.

Okay, now THIS is the most egregious thing you've ever said.

Leave pizza alone, you hater.

How do you feel about people who get food to go and carry it around for a night on the town?

It's one thing to get a whole/over half of a dish to take home after everyone hits up the bar for a beer or two.

It's another if someone needs to get a doggy bag to save 1/5th of a burrito and is trying to check it with their coat at the club as part of a heavy night out on the town.
