Yeah, but that's the goal of those ads. Technically, the one you pointed out falls under the same criticisms as the ad in question, but the numbers are smaller because of the nature of the ad and product being advertised.

The Seoul ad is meant to promote tourism and interest in Korea, though, not sex, which is partly why it's under such heated scrutiny.

i know, i'm just being facetious

but going by the absolute bombardment of sexualised adverts, k-pop videos, tv shows, etc, etc, i see on a daily basis, it's still laughable that this tourism advert has caused controversy for "sexualising women"

Is 'fresh' some kind of euphemism in the Korean advertising industry for complete lack of taste?

True for both the Seoul and the Jinro ads.

Koreans know they live in a sex-obsessed culture with K-pop stars bending over and showing their bits, to Korean "business" culture of whoring with your colleagues, to "coffee girls", to .....well, you know what I mean.

However, Koreans seem paranoid when it comes to how other people see their country. Strange.

Embarrassed by feel-good, but embarrassing stuff.
