Where are the jobs you PROMISED, trump?
« on: December 01, 2017, 08:37:06 AM »
Looks like they're going overseas:
Quote
"In fact, according to new research conducted by Good Jobs Nation, more than 91,000 jobs have been sent overseas since Trump was elected, the highest rate of jobs lost to outsourcing in five years," Jones writes. "This summer, I traveled across the Midwest, from Indianapolis to Kalamazoo to Racine, to talk with hundreds of manufacturing workers who lost their jobs to foreign countries. Many of them (some wearing “Make America Great Again” hats) agreed that Trump hasn’t lived up to his end of the deal."
The highest rate in FIVE years. Thanks for nothing donnie boy.

Remember that Carrier plant where he spoke?
Quote
Workers have been fed empty promises as many prepare to be let go by the company. Carrier expects to lay off 215 people in January, down from its last estimate of 275. That would bring the total number of layoffs to 553 for the year, down from a previous figure of 660. The company in a statement said it reduced the number of layoffs because of attrition.
Happy days are here again (for the fatcats)!

Trumpslurpers will just claim "liberals" are preventing Trump from doing anything. Even though the GOP controls everything.

Everyday its an anti-trump thread coming from you. Keep in mind that most waygook users are younger and most likely to be a demographic that supports liberalism. So you are preaching to the choir in most instances. Or maybe you just want to stir up arguments so you can post your useless memes. Either way, you are coming across as a fool. And to attribute those job losses to Trump is asinine and selective at best. Grow up.

It's foolish to be informed and to share that information? What school of thought is that from?

Those job losses happened under trump. He said he was going to bring back jobs. He hasn't. Is that clear enough for you?

You don't like the memes? Don't look at them.

Seriously, even Aurata takes a breather from time to time. I think major stories are fine, but day to day stuff should go in a sticky thread.

As far as political sins, "economy not as perfect as politician promised" is about the most common and the least offensive.

You guys never seem to get it.

The military-industrial complex is running America, not Donald Trump. And they like offshoring jobs because it increases the profit margins of the 1%.

The deep state runs america, and they're just continuing the same policies implemented by their former puppets obama, clinton and the Bushes.

The face changes but the power behind the throne remains the same. When you continuously get suckered into blaming the figurehead, you fall into their trap. Most Americans seem to be incredibly naive and trusting of their government and media. So easy to manipulate.

235,000 private sector jobs were added in October alone. That's very impressive.

United States: wealthiest economy in human history. Since the 1800s richest country in the world. Will continue to have huge money making opportunities for the rest of our lives. No matter who is president. If you have skills that offer value that is. No one owes you sh*t in this world. No one owes you a job. Make your own job, meaning make your own business / be a freelancer. And/or get a skill set that would make an employer want to hire you (or a customer want to buy from you). Don't cry about crappy unskilled jobs like coal mining going away due to automation or other reasons.

Thank you Obama and the Fed!

MAGAPILL--"President Donald Trump is only the beginning." Scary stuff from wingnut extremists.

Quote

US President Donald Trump on Saturday drew attention to a fringe right-wing conspiracy theory website lauding his achievements, suggesting it was a better source of news than the mainstream media.

Trump retweeted a post from the MAGA Pill Twitter account, linking to an article on the website: “THE [sic] President Donald Trump Accomplishment List Website.”

MAGA Pill and its associated Twitter account have a history of promoting right-wing conspiracy theories about global Luciferianism cabals that keep the masses in a state of delusion about who is really controlling the world. It has also pushed stories and articles with a strong anti-illegal immigration agenda as well as peddling conspiracies about Hilary Clinton.

Shortly after the Trump retweet, the MAGA Pill website was unavailable. It was back online hours later, saying it had suffered an “outage/attack.”

Hours before the Trump tweet, the MAGA Pill account had tweeted a video from Liz Cronkin, a conspiracy theorist, in which she claimed investigators had allegedly found a video on disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner’s laptop showing Clinton engaged in sex with an underage girl.

On November 20, the MAGA Pill account tweeted a diagram purporting to show key conspiracy elements and how they control the world. Referring to financial cabals, the diagram says “certain bloodline families have dominated global financial institutions including: BIS, FED, imf, World Bank, Wall Street.”

The website has also promoted conspiracy theories about the October 1 Las Vegas shooting, alleging a concentrated effort to suppress debate about the shooting, and saying gunman Stephen Paddock likely had assistance when he shot dead 58 people at a music fair.

Trump has in the past used his Twitter account to promote content associated with the alt-right movement.

After the neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville, Virginia in August, Trump drew criticism for initially blaming the both sides in the violent clashes that preceded the incident. He later issued a sterner condemnation of “hatred, bigotry and violence” but then hours later tweeted a post from right-wing conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec that criticized the media for not covering gun crime in Chicago that had claimed nine lives that same weekend.

In July 2016, during the election campaign, Trump tweeted a controversial image depicting Hillary Clinton next to a Star of David superimposed over piles of money that originated on a white supremacist internet forum. Trump’s image of Clinton surrounded by $100 bills read: “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!” on a six-pointed star, a common Jewish and Israeli symbol.

Any job gains are because of what Obama did, any job losses are because of Trump or vice-versa depending on how you lean politically.

Same with anything else good/bad.

Give it time. If trump's tax bill passes, there will be some short-term gain followed by great long-term pain.

You can't spell recession without repugnican.

I started by looking at the last one, then just stopped.  Why?

Quote
The unemployment rate among Latino and Hispanic Americans fell to 4.7 percent in November, the lowest level on records since 1973. That figure comes with an asterisk, though: Like other categories of the U.S. population, a smaller proportion of Latinos either have a job or are looking for one than before the Great Recession.

So, what that headline means is, more or less, Hispanic employment at lowest rate on record.
