Over 2 billion was spent on the election.   100,000 or a million is a drop in the bucket.
ď gee I was gone vote fur Hillary, but I saw a Facebook ad sayin she dun like black people, so I think Iíll switch my vote to Trump. Ē

The ads were not only pro trump, some were pro Blum and Hillary, so that would suggest the company Russian or not had other motives than to get Trump elected.

That's not the point and it is not a relevant question to the point I made about your question...
Actually that is the point. You have to consider the volume of Russian ads/tweets in comparison to the rest of the information that was out there before you can even start to claim that they had a significant impact.

Was there something magically more effective about the ads? Is Russian advertising superior to U.S. advertising? Why has this apparently only been effective in political advertising and not in say, being used to boost Russian exports?

If what the Russians spent on facebook ads was truly that effective in changing voters minds, then corporations around the world would be flocking to Russia. They aren't. Get a clue and use some critical thinking.

Why would the Russians use a platform like Facebook to pedal ads like this to sway half-witted American voters?
Because they're part of a bureacracy and military apparatus that gets chucked money and told to go do/try/experiment with stuff and see what works and that doesn't make it part of some massive, powerful, propaganda operation.

Stunning. Clearly Clinton lost because of ads like this.

Did it ever occur to you that this idea that Putin is all-powerful and playing the world, and that we need to spend billions of dollars to stop these ads IS the propaganda operation? That's right, YOU are the one falling for the propaganda. It wasn't about getting Trump elected. It's about freaking people out and getting them to overreact.

The point on these threads appears to be whatever martini's last lie claims it to be.

One has to wonder if he has a side-job shilling for the repugs on discussion forums. That, at least, would be a reason other than mental illness for his incessant lies.

This relentless obfuscation and dishonestly are quintessential features of the Trump cult and its followers.
That, and of course, unmitigated stupidity from likes of Jimbo and his ilk.  ;D

Russia interfered/is interfering.

trump does little to nothing to stop it. Why? Because they helped him win the election and he hopes it'll work in the mid-terms?

Sounds logical to reasonable folks.

Does that mention 'Views'?  How often do people look at something on the internet and do nothing?  It just has to be in your eyesight.  It's psychological, you only have to look once as it's there, that's why you have advertising at the side of your screen.  It does something.  What about you, do you do something?  Actually, you're probably more of a special case because you have to do something every time, until the other person, A: gives up B: Dies or C: Gives up and dies.

But that also applies to the Clinton and Trump ads which dwarfed the number of Rissian ads.

You know it's possible to think that Russian facebook ads didnt change one vote AND still think Trump is a lying pile of garbage. You don't have to defend everything because it's anti-Trump.

I have no idea if the 3000 deaths claim is accurate or not, though I'm giving it a far higher probability of it being accurate (or accurate enough- say only 2,000 dead or even 4,000 dead. Obviously it's an estimate) then Trump thinking there's only a dozen or too dead.

That being said we have to consider some things-

1. The extent to which the previous two hurricanes affected the ability of disaster efforts to reach Puerto Rice
2. The extent to which Puerto Rio being and island affected the ability of resources to reach it
3. The infrastructure and skill of the government of Puerto Rico
4. Whether the same death calculation, which seems to include indirect deaths, has been used with other hurricanes.
5.The extent to which things could have been done differently.
6. The extent to which Trump affected things

Absent hard data regarding those things, 'Blame Trump' is premature, though 'Blame Republicans' and their budget cutting could be a quicker call. That being said, Puerto Rico should have some level of preparation for this and if they didn't prepare adequately....

You honestly think people changed their votes because of Russian facebook ads and the Podesta emails?

  Now, why would the Russians focus their attention on Facebook and not a simple leaflet through the door campaign?

Looking at the population as a whole, Facebook by far still leads every other social media site as a source of news. This is largely due to Facebookís large user base, compared with other platforms, and the fact that most of its users get news on the site. Specifically, about two-thirds of Americans (66%) use Facebook, and a majority of those users get news on the site, similar to 2016. Looked at as a portion of all U.S. adults, this translates into just under half (45%) of Americans getting news on Facebook.

Even though YouTube has a large user base Ė 58% of the population Ė a smaller portion gets news there. In 2017, both the user base and the share getting news on YouTube grew. The result: 18% of all Americans now get news on YouTube, making it the second most common social media site for news Ė albeit still far behind Facebook

This is just social media.
Most adults get their news through television.  Most news is left leaning, by far.   So a hundred grand on ads is not going to overturn what they hear on network news channels.

If you accept that the Media, Hollywood and academia are democrats, then how can they lose any elections.

On behalf of the Trump cult peanut gallery I would like to get in first and say that Trump's 20 year associate presidential campaign manager and agent of foreign government pleading guilty to conspiracy, witness tampering, fraud and money laundering  has nothing to do with Trump, because as you know, the truth isn't truth!
And anyway why isn't anyone talking about Hillary and Obama?

Over to you Martini and Jimbo.

Expect Manafort will be able to assist with corroborating evidence in the quid pro quo for Russian election assistance at that Trump Tower meeting given that he was working unpaid for Trump during the campaign but was instead on the payroll for the Ukraine.
Speculate that Trump Jr would be the next big name indictment.

All this assumes you're capable of ignoring the obfuscation and can connect the dots though. ;D
Far too much to ask of a cult follower and avid Fox news viewer of course.

If itís jaywalking, then youíll act like itís murder.  Not rape because you were ok with bill Clinton raping.
Iíll speculaate itís a huge nothing, and that you all wasted the countryís time for a long time.
Get with the program or lose globalist leftist S*& tards.     Jobs, middle class, a wall,  no illegal immigration, less government waste, no useless wars and fair trade.   Itís all highly desirable, so I canít fathom how anyone can be against it.
