That support and love he has for the LGBT community didn't last then:

"After consultation with my Generals and military experts..."

In fairness to Trump, perhaps he's aware of the importance of keeping the military brass on side in a banana republic. They may well prove to be vital allies in the coming months.

A 66-year-old liberal New York politician stands up sweat-soaked in front of a crowd of 100 in a city of 4,000 and says,

Quote
“Too many Americans don’t know what we stand for. Not after today.”

No, I'm pretty sure everybody is still pretty unsure of what you stand for, mostly because nobody was listening. Also because nobody trusts you or your party. Really? Just months after the devastating defeat of Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are the face of the party now? That's the best face the Dems can put forward to appeal to voters in the face of Trump? You announce 'A Better Deal' and in the meantime Trump announces that no transgender people can enter the military. What are people paying attention to? Nobody cares about your 'deal', and nobody would believe you if they did. I'm not at all confident in the Dems for the mid-terms, or for their presidential prospects in 2020 if this is all they're willing to cede after their embarrassing and shameful defeat in 2016.

Hahaha! Trump consults with people, really?

Just another distraction to move the Russia/TrumpCare news off the day's headlines.

Not allowing transgender people in the military isn't really a homophobic or transphobic decision. Politics aside - and I accept that Trump's decision is political and perhaps with the motivation you claimed - it's not entirely practical to make the army an LGBT rainbow. Openly LGBT (and female) people, in frontline positions at least, is just an unnecessary complication. I'm sure there are many less complicated cases that would be willing to do the job just as well. That said, I don't see why they couldn't be involved in other areas of the military.

The Mooch explains elitism.

I seldom eat cheeseburgers. I guess that makes me an elitist!

It's a shame that reporter didn't ask whether, in his world view, elitists also consume their own semen directly from its source in the same way that he alleges of Steve Bannon.

http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/news/a56679/the-mooch-steve-bannon-suck-own-cock/

With this type of discourse coming from the president's director of communications, it must be a great source of pride to be an American abroad teaching children how to communicate at present.

Adel--I like your style.

Donovan--Dems gotta start somewhere. At least they've figured that much out.

Perhaps someone could start another thread with a poll for whether Trump supporters are tired of winning yet.

Trump doesn't seem to believe in the old saying: "Keep your friends close; keep your enemies closer."

'The Russians Were Involved. But It Wasn’t About Collusion.'

https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/07/28/opinion/the-russians-were-involved-but-it-wasnt-about-collusion.html

Given the information available thus far, this seems like the most plausible explanation for Russian interference with the US presidential election. The Trump team, and America as a whole, got trolled. Unfortunately, they were all too eager to play their part.

Not that we should stop looking into Trump's business ties.

The US has trolled itself by going with 2 worst possible presidential candidates.
Corruption is so high and the system is so broken, that I suspect everything would leak either way.

The empire is crumbling and everyone is looking for a scapegoat.  I wonder if the Romans and Mongols went through a similar phase just prior to the empire's collapse.

Death of a F***ing Salesman

Quote
Glengarry Glen Ross is the Macbeth of real estate, full of great, blistering lines and soliloquies so liberally peppered with profanity that the original cast had nicknamed the show “Death of a F***ing Salesman.” But a few of those attending the New York revival left disappointed. For a certain type of young man, the star of Glengarry Glen Ross is a character called Blake, played in the film by Alec Baldwin. We know that his name is “Blake” only from the credits; asked his name by one of the other salesmen, he answers: “What’s my name? F*** you. That’s my name.” In the film, Blake sets things in motion by delivering a motivational speech and announcing a sales competition: “First prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Second prize? A set of steak knives. Third prize is, you’re fired. Get the picture?” He berates the salesmen in terms both financial — “My watch cost more than your car!” — and sexual. Their problem, in Blake’s telling, isn’t that they’ve had a run of bad luck or bad sales leads — or that the real estate they’re trying to sell is crap — it is that they aren’t real men.

Quote
What’s notable about the advice offered to young men aspiring to be “alpha males” is that it is consistent with the classic salesmanship advice offered by the real-world versions of Blake in a hundred thousand business-inspiration books (Og Mandino’s The Greatest Salesman in the World is the classic of the genre) and self-help tomes, summarized in an old Alcoholics Anonymous slogan: “Fake it ’til you make it.” For the pick-up artists, the idea is that simply acting in social situations as though one were confident, successful, and naturally masterful is a pretty good substitute for being those things. Never mind the advice of Cicero (esse quam videri, be rather than seem) or Rush — just go around acting like Blake and people will treat you like Blake. If that sounds preposterous, remind yourself who the president of the United States of America is.

Quote
Trump is the political version of a pickup artist, and Republicans — and America — went to bed with him convinced that he was something other than what he is. Trump inherited his fortune but describes himself as though he were a self-made man.
He has had a middling career in real estate and a poor one as a hotelier and casino operator but convinced people he is a titan of industry. He has never managed a large, complex corporate enterprise, but he did play an executive on a reality show. He presents himself as a confident ladies’ man but is so insecure that he invented an imaginary friend to lie to the New York press about his love life and is now married to a woman who is open and blasé about the fact that she married him for his money. He fixates on certain words (“negotiator”) and certain classes of words (mainly adjectives and adverbs, “bigly,” “major,” “world-class,” “top,” and superlatives), but he isn’t much of a negotiator, manager, or leader. He cannot negotiate a health-care deal among members of a party desperate for one, can’t manage his own factionalized and leak-ridden White House, and cannot lead a political movement that aspires to anything greater than the service of his own pathetic vanity.

Did you ever hear the one about that Russian adoption meeting?

Trump dictated son’s misleading statement on meeting with Russian lawyer

I am confused - wasn't Putin in Charge?  Why wouldn't he also train Trump Jr.?

Or is the puppet puppeteering his children?

Was Jon Snow involved?

Please, explain.

The biggest danger for the anti-Trump army is that they are going so over the top that they might lose their support base.

Here is how JK Rowling got trolled and paid the price by having to apologize to the big T.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4747162/JK-Rowling-Trump-slur-proves-Queen-Hypocrisy.html

Trump is such an easy target and rightfully so. Yet, the more mass media trolls, the less support it will retain of its faithful viewers.  The boy who cried wolf story runs true here.  The mass media has been crying wolf in all the wrong places while ignoring the places where the real crime is happening.  Then again, how much faith do you have in the news media owned by corporations?  Life support trusts CNN 100% of the time, how about you?
