There was a military guy who used to be here who was also always being told he looked like Matt Damon.

And he actually did, the resemblance was uncanny.

I started afterschool classes today with 3 students and it went really well. They enjoyed the content and actually want to carry on with it on Thursday (when it happens next). :D

No earthquake this Monday!

I could swear I felt one at about 11pm last night, but I haven't heard any news about it so I guess I'm just dying.

Have everything printed and ready for my after school classes in advance today. It will probably still be chaos but I feel better being ready for it.

On Saturday I'm going to Spectrum EDM festival, and either Sunday or Monday (if the weather is good) I'm going to the beach, so there's a lot to look forward to this four day weekend.

I saw a cool bird today.

I saw a hummingbird this past weekend.  Thought it was a wasp at first.

Sorry, no pics.

No hummingbirds in Asia as they're endemic to the Americas. However, there are sphinx moths -- aka hummingbird moths.
Through the process of (creationists: trigger warning to y'all!!) convergent evolution, they bear an uncanny resemblance to hummingbirds. They even zip and hum in a similar way!

That's what it was.

That explains why I thought it was an insect.
