Mod, please help! New user can't get activated!

Hi, I tried PM'ing a moderator but didn't have enough posts, and kept getting a timeout error when I tried to report a post, so I can't think of another way to contact them...

My friend tried to register for the site a few days ago but didn't receive an activation email. He has requested another 3 since then but not received them. When he tried to log in he gets an error message saying the account needs to be activated, and a link to resend them email. His email account doesn't have spam or junk filtering, so it's not being diverted, and he's double-checked the email address as being correct.

Please can a mod look at this and get his account up and running?

His username is 'hades'.

Should probably add that this doesn't need approving/making public, I just couldn't think of another way to contact you!!

My friend is having the same problem. She is trying to create an account but it is not working. I wanted to Pm you but not sure how to do that. Her sign up username is yujiniyeyo. She did all the steps but afterwards nothing happens. That is, she does not receive any email from waygook and she cannot login with her username and password. What should she do. I forget how I did this over a year ago. Could you help me help her get activate. Thanks!

Hi Hi!
  My friend recently arrived in Korea and she signed up for waygook.org (like 2 months ago) but her account has not been activated. Her username is sincerelypresh. She has tried several times, and she's tried registering with different e-mails, but- nothing. She was wondering what the problem could be??

Any advice and info would be great.

Don't you get an e-mail where you have to confirm the e-mail you provided? Did she get the e-mail to confirm her e-mail?

Baphomet is being facetious, please disregard. You should also immediately contact a moderator if he invites you to feel him.

Have your friend register an account with a different e-mail address. Check your spam folder or try adding *@waygook.org to an allowed senders list...

I sent a PM to taeyang about the same thing happening to a coworker today. He activated the account pretty shortly.

my friends having the same issue.  His user name is BSCHWATA.  He has tried multiple times to activate his account by having the activation code resent to his email without any success. Please help.@

To any moderator able to help --

The same thing that happened to me has happened to a new person: someone messaged me for help over at Dave's ESL Cafe because they can't get their account activated here (presumably for the same reason: no activation e-mail would be sent).

Their username is sailorvenus3.
I hope someone can help them out.

Please, please -- on behalf of future users who might not think to beg for help at Dave's -- find a way to solve this problem or just put some kind of contact info for new users who need assistance.  :sad:
