Why was the miyeokguk thread deleted? V2.0
« on: June 16, 2017, 12:56:25 PM »
Yes, the information is useful and then it's obvious the topic went off on a tangent, as most of these threads do (e.g., becomes a topic of American vs Korean diet).

Using Google ("seaweed korea cancer" under the "News" header), found an article about it:

sorry but this doesn't answer my question. at all. and now you've locked the first thread i made about this for some unknown reason so i've been forced to make another one.

why was the thread outright deleted? if it went off on a tangent there was absolutely no reason to outright delete the thread. an off-topic warning would have been enough.

the information can be found via google. so? how many people do you think are googling "seaweed soup and cancer" or even "seaweed soup"?

come on man. stop locking and deleting threads for absolutely no reason at all.

I answered your question--it was removed because the thread went off a tangent.  Based on history, threads of this nature inevitably get locked in spite of warnings and hence the instant removal.

Now the information is available to via the article posted. If this topic is re-posted, it will result in a mute.
