Congratulations to the new daddies. Be sure to tease your kids like dad champs.

In other news, what I wouldn't give for a savory, non-sweet burrito right now. I realize I could try making my own, but they never turn out right for me. Anyone have any referrels for where I can find a good one anywhere in Korea?

I don't care where I got to go for one, I'll make a day-trip out of it.

Have you tried Coreanos? I've heard amazing things.

Nope, but I think I remember reading about it a while back, and so I'm sticking it on my list.

Coreanos is pretty good.  I've only been there once but I believe it's more of the mexi-fusion variety.  Tried the galbi burrito and enjoyed it.

Had a stellar pulled pork taco at Gusto Taco.  After a bite I just sat back and savored the flavors.  They also make their own queso (def try some nachos if you go).  I can't wait to go back the next time I'm up in Seoul.  Haven't tried their burritos but if the foods I had are any indication, I'm sure it's a treat.

Coreanos is the place to go for a burrito. You're going to get a cali-mex style flavour log and it'll be awesome and huge. Do not go to the Doota location. The Apgujeong one is the best. Gusto Taco is junk, in my opinion, but lots of people like it, so I'm definitely in the minority.

If you want legit Mexican Mexican, go to Paco Loco which is right by Magpie in Noksapyeong. For me, it's easily the best Mexican food. Opinions will vary. Don't order a burrito there, though. Their burritos aren't great.

Don't knock my junk, man.  Delicious junk.

For me, I also think chips are an important part of a Mexican restaurant.  Coreanos' chips and salsa sauces disappointed me.  I really dug the chips in the nachos at Gusto Taco though.  But they don't give you complimentary chips/salsa.

I know - lots of people love Gusto. Every time I go I'm like "Uhh. That wasn't very satisfying." And I keep having to go because people love it. Ugh. Coreanos' tacos are trash, though.

Thank you all for the references. I now have my list and it will literally be my mission during one of my vacation days.

It's all coming together so well.

I have absolutely no plans for the holiday. Is that good or bad? haha

My Korean friend is coming home after a couple of years in Prague. I'll wait here for him.

I'm using "burrito" as an excuse to travel somewhere. I don't think I have any place to say if a lack of plans is good or bad.

But I'd say going on a Sonny-style bender might be fun.

That'd be greaaaaasy.

I have no plans this summer, either. Flights to Vietnam are dirt cheap right now, though. And I haven't been on a solo vacay in a couple years. But I feel like my significant other might be annoyed.

I used to write poetry on Dave's to kill the occasional boring spell at work. This thread seems like a place to continue.

Weather weather why must you be so stinking hot?
Never ending humid madness leaving my nerves shot.
Yet the school cannot see fit to turn on the aircon.
Approximately two hours twenty until I am gone.

Gone to join the swathes of traffic struggling to find home.
Driving like a complete asshole, as they say, "When in Rome..."
Though I'm not quite so sure the Romans lacked such class
as Koreans driving Equuses (who can kiss my f***ing ass.)

Through the traffic to my couch, bring on a case of beer.
To blot out wretched memories of teaching kiddies dear.
The weekend's come. It's time to rest. I'm going to be OK.
Next week I'm sure things will be better. Denialism, yay!

It's so frustrating to plan for camp, buy the materials, and only one student shows up.   >:(

I didn't put this in the ranting thread because the one who came was good-natured about it, even though she was disappointed that she was the only one.

I rather like the dragonflies.  They're far less common where I'm from.

The mosquito swarms can all die though.

I requested some marshmallows for camp (just 2 or so bags) and ended up with 17

At least I can repurpose some for Christmas and maybe even for winter camp, but still:
