Winter Olympics
« on: March 04, 2010, 01:28:13 pm »
2nd and 3rd grade Middle School

I figured with the Winter Olympics just finishing, I would make a game.  How I played the game with my kids is by having them read the slide and make a guess on white boards with dry erase markers.  Each group has a small white board.  (If you don't have these, I would recommend trying to get them).  There are some historical questions and some current ones.   The slides with just pictures are to get the kids to just guess the event.

Before playing I hand out the worksheet I made about Winter Olympic Games.  First we read through each sport for pronunciation and then then had to match the sport with the description.  I had my kids circle key words that led them to their answers.

Please let me know how it goes!

Enjoy!
