Living in Goheung

Hola!

Just wanted to post a note saying hi from Goheung. If anyone else is suffering through a rural placement in the area drop me a note and we'll get together and talk of home over a pizza.

Cheers,

Dave

I did a year in solitary in a rural county, and there were some definite plusses.  Very lonely at times, but how many Americans can say they've lived in rural South Korea?   In hindsight I wish I would have done more exploring, maybe even bought a scooter.

I'd like to head to Goheung this fall and see Sorok-do and the space center.  Next spring and summer you should have plenty of chances to try out the beaches.  Are there many other English teachers there?

Yeah, I'm contemplating the scooter just to have access to more places.

I'm meeting up with another NET after work today and I understand there are 2 other new teachers in Goheung this semester. I think that puts the total around 5 or 6.
