For very advanced students.  Detailed history of what all the symbolisms are in the dollar.  Pretty interesting, even for native US citizens.

Greetings Somark,
Did they understand this reading?
I've been teaching adult teachers for 4 years and would think that this would be incredibly difficult for them.
Did it stimulate conversation? 
Also, why do you think this is useful in an EFL situation? Just curious?
