** from JLP Resource Book **

There are a bunch of psychology things in the back of the book, which I've collected into one post here.

* Mock Myers-Briggs Personality Test Questions.
* Situational Psychology
* Psychology 101
* Mind Game

Hey there personality pedagogues,

There's a good PPT from a newer thread explaining and describing MBTI. The thread is here. To the PPT I added this grokkable explanation of J/P under the notebook and "maybe" pictures.

Judging: Thinks and feels; Perceiving: Watches and invents (you could say senses and intuits if they've got that down).

The Meyers-Briggs test given in this thread is I think better.

I gave MBT to my eighth graders today, and another personality class to my seventh graders. The sevens received the Psychology 101 test, and I made the attached short PPT (based on the other one) to frame the test. At the end we were to discuss my personality. I included an "interesting" picture of my self. You should add your own.

Both lessons were too long. The Meyers-Briggs was, even simplified, at too high a level for quick completion, and took most of the class alone. The Psychology 101 lesson was more even. I and my co-teacher shared our answers as we went along, and didn't get to the dialogue discussing me.

I plan to make these personality tests a part of a unit discussing life paths and What is Really Important. Hopefully I can convince some of them at least to move to Bermuda or Greece.

I used some of the documents for my first class with my students. It was a good way for me to get to know them!
Thanks!!

I used this with my class of 8 sophomores and they loved it. It was great for a smaller class because we discussed it as a group along the way. The vocab was a good balance of easy and challenging for them, so no real problems (although my students are advanced).
