Free Tourist Info /Translation Service over the phone

I've used this several times.  Whether to find a bus, a particular restaurant, or just when you are in a bind and need someone to translate for you, just dial 1330.  It's free and you can call from anywhere within Korea.

i'm korean-american and have def. used this service more than once. it's great. can you use it by just dialing 1330? or do you have to include the area code as well?

Area code + 1330. It's unbelieveably useful--I find out train times, get translation for when I go to the doctor or have a confusing taxi destination, etc. etc. etc.
