Registering a Cell Phone
« on: April 21, 2008, 09:59:28 am »
Hi all

I have been blessed with a co-teacher willing to register a cell phone under her name and let me use it.  That time is coming to an end and I want to change the registration to my name and switch to a pay as you go plan.  Has anybody had any experience doing this?  I had a trip to a SK shop where I had trouble explaining the concept of pay as you go and in the end got these options:  1) Stop the number 2) Pay a billion for it.

I know it shouldn't be this hard.  I feel like I just have to say the right words; does somebody know the Korea for 'no plan-I pre-pay time' or has anybody successful registered a used phone before?

Thanks!

You have probably already sorted something out by know, but just in case the errandrunning website could be helpfully. They can help register or change your phone over, there is a probably a small fee, but may be worth looking to.
