Hampyeong Butterfly Festival: May 3 - May 8
« on: April 16, 2007, 10:12:46 pm »
The annual Hampyeong Butterfly Fetival will be held from May 3 to May 8.  Details are a little sketchy, as the English website hasn't been updated since 2006.  Anyway, something to do.  If buses don't run to Hampyeong from your town, you can catch one from Gwangju, as it's right next door.

I may end up going to this, I've been stuck inside Yeong-Gwang since I got back from vacation two months ago.

I am looking at going to this, is there a bus that goes from Yeonggwang? Or is it that I have to bus to Gwangju and then turn around?

There is a bus that goes there from Yeonggwang.  You simply take the Mokpo bus, and stop at the Hampyeong terminal.  I think you might be able to take it from your place as well, not sure about it though.
