Hi, my name is Kailey and I am teaching with EPIK in Daegu.  I arrived last week and stumbled on this site.  It seems pretty awesome!  Anyway, hello, Korea!

Welcome to Daegu!  I've been here two years, and at times have loved it and other times have looked at tickets out of town.  Let me know if you need any help getting around town and I'll see what I can do to help you.  :D

Welcome!

Just starting my 4th contract in Daegu!  I used to teach elementary but now I teach middle school.  Likewise, if you need help, lemme know.

It's not the greatest city but atleast we have the KTX and many other trains and buses.

Take care and good luck!

I am living in Masan, but have heard good things about deagu and it's not too far, so I will be heading up there soon to visit. I love swing dancing and they have swing dancing there on Saturday nights, so I will be up one weekend. If anyone wants to meet up, let me know. :)

Hi All,

I'm also new to Daegu - living about 15 mins from Naedang Subway Station (not sure if that area has another name!) I teach in Pyeongri Middle School - hard work so far, but I'm getting there.

Like many of you, missing my cellphone and internet at home to the max!

Welcome to our lovely city!

Make sure to get out of the downtown comfort zone and explore the city. Suseong Lake area has a bunch of amazing restaurants (Indian, Italian, Korean, Western, even Spanish!). The Kyungpook University area is also home to some nifty little bars and great restaurants and cafes. And be sure to take the jump off of Woobang Tower!

Have fun!
