A boy at my middle school wants to travel to the United States this winter break. He told me he wants to learn English at a young age. He told me he wants to be an English teacher when he grows up. I'm currently looking at ways to:
1. get him there.
- grants (not sure if Fullbright works with this age)
- fundraisers (any ideas?)
- any kind of government funding, etc..
2. enrich his experience.
- exchange programs
- travel ideas, etc..
3. get his visa. I guess I'm not completely clear on the difficulty of this.
His English skills aren't high level but good enough to get around. At the same time, it would be better to have someone there. I'm just curious if anyone has any ideas or experience with this. If so, I would like some input! I'm excited to see that one of my students is thinking outside of the box!
