Hi,

I'm female really itching to do something active with a group of people and I'm not sure what's out there.  Does anyone know of any sporting activity in the byeongjeom, Dongtan, Suwon, Osan area - basketball, soccer, anything really...

or if anyone is looking for a tennis partner let me know...

A bit unusual, but there is a really great rock climbing community all over Korea. I know a few folks from Osan love to go out.
Check out the forums on www.koreaontherocks.com

Let them know you're a newbie (unless of course you've climbed before) and ask if you can tag along. Most folks are more than happy to "show you the ropes" so to speak.

You could also look into Ultimate.  It's a great sport, and the Korean ulti community is wonderful.  They run pickup games all over, leagues in Seoul & Daegu, all of which are newbie-friendly (and will find you a couch to crash on).  They also throw the best tournament every spring on Jeju, which is worth going to for the parties alone:

I know this thread is a little old, but I am also looking for people to play tennis with.  I live in Anyang (Bumgye Station, line 4), but will travel around Seoul to play.  I have extra racquets if anyone wants to play but doesn't have one.  Send me an email if you want to play at dvorders@yahoo.com.  Take care!
