"Would You Rather?" Summer Camp

Took me around 45 minutes.

Go through the PPT, distribute the sheets (students working in pairs, one has sheet 1, one has sheet 2)

Afterwards, discuss the responses and then give each student a post-it note to ask you a question. Then ask  these questions to the whole class, too.

Good for students who don't speak much and for students who you want to develop reasoning.

I made a "would you rather" ppt a few months ago. It has more questions and some funny pics to go along with it. The students seemed to like it. enjoy.

If you change a couple phrases to be age appropriate, this is a great lesson for high level elementary schoolers. My gifted class LOVED it, especially the part where they got to ask me questions.

Jmart72 your questions are really interesting, I look forward to some of the results, but may tone them down a little for my conservative crowd  :)

One thing, the "would you rather be underweight or overweight" picture, do you really think the woman is overweight? - I think she looks great.

I used this yesterday, it worked really well with my high school boys. With a warm up game, it took up almost an entire 50 minute lesson. Lots of fun, and most importantly, speaking! :D

In fact, I think I'll use this in my regular classes when I need a nice light but still effective lesson.
