Hi thanks for the materials!  I think I will integrate a pizza day in my summer camp and I was wondering if you could provide the links to the pizza song and/or powerpoint that you described in your lesson plan! It would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again!

Sorry, my co teacher is providing me with the pizza ppt which I am still waiting to get from her.  Once I do will post it on here.  As for the pizza song there are many diferent versions of it on youtube.  Just type in I am pizza for the search and you should get lots to choose from.

Here is the pizza song, ppt that I used for this camp.  The song should play along with the ppt.  Hopefully it works.

I created an updated version of camoore's 'I Am A Pizza'...

I created a WMV movie file and also a lyrics sheet for the students. All of the Korean translations were taken from camoore's PowerPoint Slide.

I hope you enjoy it! ~ I will be using it during my 2010 Winter Camp.

Great idea everyone!

Here are the ppt's that I used for this lesson.  The animal ppt I borrowed from someone else.  I don't remember where I got it, but it was probably from here and probably from you Sheila.  The song I used was from Youtube, if you search under animal songs you should find it.  Anyway I hope this helps.

Thanks both of you!  I don't really know what to do for camp and I have to do 3 weeks.  I don't think I will do theme weeks or if I do it might be just 1 or 2.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I am a doing a one week camp with a holiday theme.  Each day we will celebrate a different holiday including Easter, Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving.  I am planning a lesson around each topic and then crafts and games.

camoore56,

That sounds like a great idea.  I just might do the same thing.  I have somethings already I can just do them again for the camp.  It will be good review.

We teach a class to other schools twice a week for four hours.  We use a book we made, which consists of this ppt.  Plus we added:

Food names in English and Korean
Songs with the lyrics (Sorry I don't have the links for the songs)

Hour 1:  We start out demonstrating the dialog what we are teaching, usually just the restaurant part.  Then the students learn the dialog with the teacher.
Hour 2:  Have them break into teams of 3 and let them practice.  Then go over money and a bit of history (they only care about the money).  Have them start with the activity of cutting, coloring and gluing what they need for role play.
Hour 3: Finish up the project making.  Have the teams show what they got!  If extra time left, sing a song.

Here are some good fillers if you are going to teach about food or the olympics

I made these word scrambles as a filler or at the beginning of the lesson using someones template that they posted here!
