PowerPoint Skills
« on: July 02, 2010, 07:49:26 am »
I would like to start elevating my PowerPoint skills for classroom activity. I see that a lot of games posted up use PowerPoint in interesting ways. Does anyone know how to use Powerpoint in these ways.

More specifically, does anyone know how to make it that if you click on something on the slide, it can change colour or have a picture appear or anything along those lines. My skills are basically being able to put things on a slide then when you click, it will either come with the next point or go to the next slide.

Also does anyone know how to inbed Youtube vids and songs into a slide?

The first one of these has been really helpful for me.  I would stop the video and count on the menu since my computer is all in Korean.  However, it worked out great.  The second two will hopefully help you out as well.  They're for Windows 2007 but I'm sure you could mess around and find the right settings if you're using an older version.  Good luck!

The powerpoint at my school is in Korean. I used the free software called OpenOffice. It's really easy to use and there is lots of tutorials. Just Google open office and it's  a free download! hope this helps you!
